Awwww- kids, you're not gonna like this one...but I am giving props to the venue itself. Appears well managed and I've never witnessed any fisticuffs action, however...don't expect the guy sitting at the end of the bar to offer his barstool to ya while he's chattin' ya up and making time w all the pickup lines I've ever heard-there's a nice sized dance floor- I very much enjoy when the floor is full and everybody is line dancing- it's a kick just to watch them- I don't do that- but like I said, if you stand up near the stage area you get the best view. Now here's what bugs me: when its a freestyle dance, I'm disturbed at how these women attempt to dance all sexy style- they spread their legs very wide(yeah wearing dresses too) and just stand in one spot gyrating. My first thought: yeast infection & they need air down there...just a mess. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. Seems very specific to the "Country Music" genre. I don't like country music- was just there w a-hole bf that was in the band. Good stuff about staff: waitresses are cute, nice style uniforms, and seem friendly- bar staff as well. If you wanna go out and grab a smoke near the door, you can hear the drunkenly loud yammering of the 'ladies'...usually they're conversing about sex acts to each other - I swear that in the 3 or 4 times I've been there this is how it was. All I can say to end this review is: thank God I don't live in Lake Havasu.

We have been here a few times in order to get a good feel for the place. Each time it has gotten worse, but it's pretty typical for a Lake Havasu bar: When first arriving, you will be greeted by 5-10 people loitering right outside the door, sucking down cigarettes like they got them in a sale at the dollar store. It creates a nice wall of smoke as you approach the door and clouds your ability to make a sensible decision - almost driving you to the door. The way the surely Nazi woman guarding the door gives everyone a scowl and thorough inspection before allowing them in, you would think she would be bashing in the smoker's skulls with a pick axe in order to drive them back from the door! Once you finally get past the door wench and enter the establishment, the first thing you will find is 50 people seated at the bar, blocking all access. In order to get a drink, one must go to the server reserved areas and battle with the waitresses. Once you are finally served your extra-weak drink (that may or may not be what you ordered), you back up into the walking area because there is no other place to sit or stand. Once in the walkway, you will be shoved and pushed in every direction by each waitress who walks by to serve drinks to the geriatrics taking up all the tables. Flying X tip #501, if you want a place to sit, be sure to get there when they open. By the looks of things, the people at the tables were there long before opening - perhaps since the stone age! On an average night, the crowd is a mix of 75% pensioners, 20% single guys looking to score and hitting on anything in their line of sight (sometimes relentlessly), 3% average people, 1% good looking girls and 1% scary vagabonds. Once you settle into a spot in the corner (away form the kitchen so you don't smell like old grease), and manage to find a place where the two guys in wheelchairs don't continually run over your foot as they wheel back and forth through the crowd 1000 times a night, you start to notice the music coming from the jukebox. It seems that they only have Journey and AC/DC - I guess pretty typical for a dive bar. They probably figure that since everyone else in town plays the same two songs that nobody likes, they might as well do it too! Once the band starts playing, things get a little better although it's still a country bar so how good can the music possibly get. Every night when I leave I'm extremely depressed after hearing about cheating wives, dying dogs, drinking problems and broken pickup trucks in every song! If I had to pick the thing I liked the best about this establishment I would say: Leaving! That's why it gets the extra star!

Very disappointed in this establishment, we came to havasu with a group of 20 ready to have a good time. Heard rumors of places not accepting California vertical ID due to counterfeits. Well i called to verify and it's correct you cannot step foot inside this place with a vertical ID, it's a shame on the amount of business they must loose due to this rule / law. I mean what is a black light pen $5 bucks to verify a legal ID but oh well tonight another business got our group of 20 business and deserved it.

I love this bar! I'm sure glad this place opened up! If you're looking for country music in Havasu.... This IS it! Come on Friday & Saturday and dance your booty off to live music. Yes, it's loud...yes, it's crowded...yes, the people here range from barely able to drink to the needing a walker crowd (remember youngsters, you'll be there some day too - at least the older crowd is out havin fun). Get out your cowboy boots and hats or flip flops and have a great time!

It's a cool place if you don't expect much. Forget getting a table , standing only. If you buy a drink , you can't hold it while on the dance floor. So , drink it or dump it , you are being watched . Average five bar , for Havasu standards . Live band on weekends only . If you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed . Only country bar in town, so for now , it's there way or the highway !

Fun place. We didn't have any food so I'm not even sure if they have any. The live band was good and lots of friendly people. Was a definite fun spot.

We were the only customers there. Two of us. Three employees. I have never seen three people work so hard to avoid eye contact. The woman behind the bar accidentally looked at my husband, then quickly ran to the other end of the bar. After five minutes of being ignored, we walked out. Saved us a few bucks, and there are plenty of other cool places in Lake Havasu to get a beer.

I came here while visiting my dad in LHC. Great bar, good vibes, the band was fantastic! Beers were frosty cold, and the bartenders were personable. I didn't try their food, but next time I'm in town, I will be sure to stop back in! I met some really nice local folks, as well.

My friends and I came here for the first time on Friday 08/16/13. Although I'm not a fan of country, we all had a good time. The only thing that irked me was all the creepy older men gawking at us and this one man who tried shoving a beer in my face. I don't know if he was trying to be friendly or he roofied the beer, but either way that was not cool.

My husband and I came to the Flying X Saloon for a high school reunion get together. It was not what I was expecting! The place was extremely crowded - not just from the folks attending the get together but from all sorts of people trying to have a fun Friday night. The inside was loud with music blaring from speakers and then a band got on stage and they were even louder. It was extremely hard to have a conversation with anyone and even ordering a drink you are lucky they can hear you. The theme is different (for Havasu) and very country. What really stood out were the patrons at the 'saloon'. From legal drinking age all the way to old-timers who should probably be in bed - all ages in Daisy Dukes and other revealing country themed clothing. Yes, it is Havasu. Yes, I do need to scrub my eyeballs. Overall, I liked the theme, the cute mason jar drinks, and the location isn't bad - but it definitely wasn't a place I'd like to visit again anytime soon. Maybe a bachelorette party would be fun here or if you just want to enjoy the music and drinks. Otherwise, it just wasn't my thing.

This place is awesome set at the bar and enjoy the ice strip that keeps your beer coooold to the bottom of the glass. The nacho is huge you won't be Hungary after that.

My husband and I always seek country/western dance places when we travel as we love to dance! This place is promoted in the Lake Havasu City Guide as having a 2,000 foot dance floor. Not so! The dance floor is maybe 700 feet and it is packed with line dancers (doing couples dancing is impossible). Unless you are into line dancing - don't bother to go there ! Maybe with the large amount of line dancers, the dj should call the dances so couples have a chance to dance! And......the city guide needs to be changed to reflect the true information on the club dance floor size. We were very disappointed!

We stopped by during a visit to Lake Havasu. We were very impressed. So clean and well kept. If there was a place to rate how clean the bathrooms were I would give the bathrooms 5 stars. We will be back again.

Band was great and dancing is fun! Services is top notch but drinks are pretty pricey! Meet lots of great people though and overall worth the price.

Awesome country bar. Live music and a great atmosphere. About time Havasu got a bar like this. The best thing about this bar is that the drink prices are ridiculously low. I ordered a draft beer for myself and a White Russian for my wife. Beer was fresh and ice cold, the WR had a generous amount of vodka, and it only came out to $8.75. What?!?! For that price, heck yeah we had seconds, and thirds, and fourths.... (Lucky for us the local shuttles park outside so we don't have to drive home.) The place is new, so obviously everything is in good condition. Bathrooms are clean, so that's another bonus. The bartenders are nice if you do what you're SUPPOSED to do and tip your server. I saw a few bartenders get a little snippy with some patrons, but then again they ordered over $20 of drinks and tipped only 50¢. People: Take care of your servers and they'll take care of you! I tipped $1 for each drink we ordered, and we got awesome service... and quite possibly a little extra vodka in each WR ;) We are definitely coming here every time we're in Havasu.

I'm in love!! Hands down the best night spot in Havasu!! Live country bands, dancing, beer and old school country decor! We were just there and the band (Briana Payne Band) was phenomenal. This has become our go to after dark hangout when we go to Havasu! I love that it's in Havasu but I wish we had a country bar as cool as this one back home! Super fun, friendly atmosphere! Keep it up!

Kim Cameron, Valecia, CA The BBQ Chicken Pizza is outstanding, but I don't recommend the Chicken Wings (they were really small and kind of dry). Also a really fun place to dance!!

I give this place five stars and i'm not even a country fan. I went twice over Labor Day wknd 2013. Both nights offered a live band, flirty men, a dance floor, young cowboys and bartender girls in short shorts and cowgirl tops. The service was top notch. Even standing in a crowded place, the staff constantly walked by to help with orders. The ladies room was cute; the insides of stalls looked like outhouses. Everyone is there for a good time, live music with a crowd full of white trash, cowboys and river rats (me!). This is the arguably the best hot spot in LhC!

Not bad, nice bar. Greasy bar food but decent. Good wings and the BBQ chicken pizza is good. Nachos are awful like cheese soup with soggy crouton/chips. Great for MNF since it's completely dead. Had all the tV's to ourselves.

I had the best time here with friends, food was good and delivered fast, our waitress was awesome. It was hard to get on the dance floor do to the large crowd. I'm coming back to this place, it's now one of my favorite place to go while in havasu.

The Flying X Saloon kicks butt! This is my new hang out when I am in Havasu. Try the grill cheese.

Good food, nice little bar, good dance floor. However, this is NOT a country and western bar. The decor might be, but very little music to dance to....beer all over dance floor. Not good. Disappointed. Would go back if they ever get a REAL country band or singer.
